THE ABSENT
Don´t it look like rain, mama?
Don´t it look so cold outside?
All the people seem scared and tired
And all the stars seem a lieThere´s no use in the air anymore, mama
There´s no use in their eyesI just come to say ‘it´s over’
I just come to say ‘good-bye’
I won´t compete with the absent
I won´t compete for the prizeAll them faces are glowing mama
They can´t see what´s in sight
There´s no use for a being anymore, ma
They got the cause in their eyes.It seems a waste to be careless, mama
There´s no one here left to fightSomething
Give me something
We´re falling away
Through the miles and the notions
We’ve only to prayIt´s a tired imitation
That calls your name
It´s a cursed invitation
That haunts your graveI just come to say it´s over
I just come to say goodbye
I won´t compete with the absent
I won´t compete for the prize

I don’t care about Adele, but I had to reblog this gif of Paul!

Seeing this setlist right now hit me really hard. I’m in constant need of a gig from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club but reading these words, in that order, reminds me many details.
You know, its f-f-f-f-f… condensed. (sorry about that last sentence, I watched THE interview again recently and it’s still making me laught as hard as ever.)
Gigs will be the death of me.
I’m seriously thinking about going to see Paul MacCartney again next month. He’s playing in Rotterdam on a saturday, and I convinced my brother who lives in Eindhoven to go. Of course, now that he’s going, I want to go with him even though I don’t know where I can find the money I need to do that.
The more I think about it, the more it seems like I HAVE to go. MacCartney, my big brother, a roadtrip in the Netherlands… Yes, it is very, very tempting.
Last week, I went to England, and among all the marvellous things I could appreciate in this country, there was the fact that I could see Noel’s face on almost every bus shelter.
